Peter AviWhen Peter Cameron Morrison passed away the fishing industry lost a great friend and advocate. Peter was the kind of guy that always made you feel like family. Calling Leader Sales was not just about looking for a specific product, it was hearing that cheery “Good Day” on the other end and catching up on the latest news or where the best fishing was to be had. Talking to fishermen, promoting the sport of fly fishing, educating youth, travelling around to the various trade shows and sharing his wealth of knowledge was among Peter’s favorite things. To date we have raised $17,743.11 for various charities to continue to promote the sport Peter was so passionate about.

The fifth annual PCM Memorial Fly Fishing Derby  promises to be twice the fun! It is to be held May 16 and 17, 2020. That’s right, a two day, multi-lake derby. May long weekend looks to be full of fish! Once again we are being hosted by Whispering Pines Ranch halfway between Merritt and Princeton on on the 5A South Hwy. With a wide variety of nearby lakes to choose from and five different species of trout to be caught as well as lots of room for camping we are hoping to make this a family friendly event to celebrate the life of our friend Peter Morrison.

All proceeds from this event are to be donated to charity. This year we will once again be supporting the Habitat Conservation Trust Foundation

Habitat Conservation Trust Foundation

Last year’s derby netted $2,567.40 that was donated to the Habitat Conservation Trust Foundation!

In previous years we have also donated to the Canadian Diabetes Association, BC Freshwater Fisheries, and the Steelhead Society of BC

The money donated to the CDA went towards sending children to a special camp that teaches them how to manage their diabetes so they can live normal lives and grow up to be healthy adults.
